Not to mention that some of the winning postcards don’t even exist

Which ones???? Actual example please.
The winners are only drawn from postcodes that have been registered so they must have been valid at the time someone registered.

Neither does mine, but it’s free and I hope one day it will. Stay positive and you never know what might happen!

Just consider the odds. With over 700,000 postcodes registered and a handful of winners each day, most of us are not going to win.

with over 700k post codes and a couple winners a day should mean every one wins at least once a year you do the math

Nope. Probability has no memory so was was drawn today has no effect on what is drawn tomorrow

I have done the maths Liam but it clearly isn’t your strong point is it!

I don’t think you are right here. I would imagine the algorithm has no memory so it’s possible for the same postcode to be drawn a number of times and consequently, a postcode might never be drawn!

Is that the famous Dianne Abbott school of math to make us all win once a year?
If there are 25 draws per day (Main, Survey, Video, 2x Bonus, 20x stackpot) and you check every day of the year, and divide by 700k postcodes, that’s 0.013. Just over a 1% chance of one win per year. To be certain of a win every year, you’d have to base it on 700 postcodes, not 700,000.
However, if you drop out in a huff because you never seem to win at all, your odds of winning fall to 0%.

You realise the k in the reply stood for thousand, right? The maths is a bit less favourable than once a year when you take that into account.

I think it is time to ignore the surveys. I haven’t got a Facebook account and never will. Are you aware that not everyone has a Facebook account?

You only have to click on the “no thanks show me the postcode” box

You don’t have to fill in any of the surveys. The postcode will appear if you wait long enough.

That’s the reason this area was provided so you can comment on here, so yes they’re aware.
