Claim your lucky place for £1 and WIN cash prizes from £5 to £1 Million

Being a free lottery, I wouldn’t normally mention this on FPL, but GeoLotto is a really innovative way to win some pretty big cash prizes.

If, like me, you don’t play the National Lottery then look away now. But if you do like to spend a few pounds each week dreaming of becoming an overnight millionaire then why not try GeoLotto? It’s similar to FPL in that you choose a location and that becomes your entry, but instead of a postcode you choose a square on the map of Britain, so you can buy a place for your home or where you were born, where you went to school, your football team ground…… or anywhere lucky for you!

It costs £1 to enter a place into the weekly prize drop, but if you want to stop other people from owning your place, you better hurry as places are being snapped up. The weekly prizes are as follows:

Prize Number of winners
£1,000,000 1
£100,000 15
£10,000 100
£1,000 2,000
£25 75,000
£5 1,502,191
£5 2,020,199

Aren’t the odds even worse than those on the Lotto?

Apparently the odds of winning the Lotto are about 13,983,815 to 1 but with Geolotto the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 40,404,000 ( – so you’re still better off playing lotto if you. Either way you’re very unlikely to win.

“The odds of a given Square winning any prize in any Prize Draw are 1 in 20″ where are the Lotto the chance of winning the minimum price (3 balls, £25) 1 in 57. So may be worth entering Geolotto but don’t expect any big payouts.

  2. Nathan Webb says:

not sure I like those odds! 1 in 59,000,000 chance of winning but only a £1,000,000 reward? As someone else stated I think the lotto has better odds than this!

  3. Andy says:

Only Nathan? I too would be gutted with just a million… :-P I’ve joined it recently and signed up for 4 weeks… had a pop at the 20p treasure hunt game with some of the left over cash from my tenner deposit… won £46 quid… plus a bit more so cashed out the £50 and we’ll see how the draw goes. Normal lottery is twice the price, so we’ll see how it goes. Tempting to switch to this. If your square comes up you win… something… could be £5 could be a million… but there’s no 3, 4, 5,6 numbers and bonus ball stuff… :-) we’ll see :-)

I’ve been playing on PCH Prizes for months but won £10 gift card a couple of weeks ago, which was never sent to me. I’ve been in touch via email but have not received a reply. Not sure if it’s a legit site or not?

  9. Alison says:

I tried this after seeing it advertised on fpl this week. My first £1 entry was in tonights draw and I’ve just received an email to say I’ve won £5! So I’m quite chuffed!

  13. Claudia says:

I signed up 2 weeks ago and bought 2 squares. However I did spend ages trawling over some major towns and saw that there was only about 20 squares registered, so I contacted them to ask how long it had been running and how many squares were owned. They said that they couldn’t divulge how many squares were actually owned but each square has the same chance of winning – so it didn’t make a difference. I say it does- if the million pound draw actually lands on an owned square and there is not enough money to pay out!
But having said that I just won £5 for my London bridge square. I will keep playing, you never know- my house might be worth a million- or it might be worth £5.

    • Chris says:

It’s a good question. I was told that lotteries use insurance companies to pay out. IE. they effectively pay premiums to insure themselves against wins. Can’t be certain this is the case with GeoLotto but they are backed by a large and legit company.

  14. Jo Tarpley says:

I’ve decided to give it a go, minimum deposit £5 and they’ll give you a £1 free, please send me some fairy dust folks!
